Trend Micro North America Choose RelayWare

London, 6th August 2007 - Leading security software vendor Trend Micro selects RelayWare as its PRM solution and partner portal platform for North America.

Having successfully launched RelayWare throughout its European organisation in May 2007, Trend Micro has commissioned roll-outs of RelayWare to its North American Business Unit, its Latin American Business Unit and Asia Pacific region.

In just 6 months since the launch of the Trend Affinity Partner Program throughout Europe, over 20,000 resellers are registered, profiled and segmented into one of three accreditation tiers providing an excellent basis for partner development and management. Not only this, scorecarding functionality within RelayWare is enabling Trend's European Channel sales teams to determine program tiering for each partner based not only on revenue but also on qualitative measures such as skill set, target market, competitive and complementary products sold, numbers of trained sales and technical staff, geographical coverage and accreditation levels with other partner organisations. This has enabled Trend Micro to focus on a core set of partners and has driven a broadening of channel focus beyond simply the security specialists, expanding into the broad-line IT channel.

Trend Micro North America are expecting to match the success of the EMEA partner portal and see tangible benefits in a similar time frame.
